Mount Warning (Aboriginal: Wollumbin), a mountain in the Tweed Range in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia, was formed from a volcanic plug of the now-gone Tweed Volcano. The mountain is located 14 kilometres (9 mi) west-south-west of Murwillumbah, near the border between New South Wales and Queensland.

Lieutenant James Cook saw the mountain from the sea and named it Mount Warning.

When seen from a distance Mt Warning or Wollumbin, is awe inspiring and spiritual. Seen from Brunswick Heads, Mullumbimby or on the highway. I was lucky to have clear views as the days were sunny. A..... more »

Highly recommend! Pretty intense last 400m climb at the summit but worth the 360 degree view. Can do in 2.5 hours if fast walk up and jog down.

Really nice hike. Enjoyed the bear crawling I had to do at the top. Beautiful view at the top. 4-5 hour hike (8.8km) round trip. Would not take small children on this.
