  • We were lucky to catch the lake at its bluest colour. It is quite stunning and the walks you can do are really nice. This really is a beautiful sight to see.  more »

  • If you’re in the area, definitely worth the trip to Mt Gambier to see the unique Blue Lake. It has a deep blue colour from November to April, when it slowly turns back to gray before turning back to deep blue again. It’s a natural phenomenon not yet explained by science so this makes it more intriguing. The lake is about 72 meters deep and is used for potable water. Mt Gambier is a beautiful and clean small town. Spent a few days if you can
