Engelbrecht Cave, Mount Gambier

Just saw a family being kicked out coz the kid in the group touched the cave mistakenly. When he was asking questions, the guide seemed extremely grumpy and sort of yelled at the kid for not listening. The three people at the reception took sides even without listening to both sides of the story. An interesting experience to observe. Beautiful cave, but the authorities probably need to understand that tolerance is sometimes required in people that are running the place and a service like this. To the owners: No one else complained while they were at the premises because clearly the reception had taken sides without listening to both parties. Just like I’ve only chosen to write the review after seeing the entire thing from both party’s perspective, the reception needed to do the same. Blindly supporting a staff’s actions is something I understand from a owner’s perspective, but it only goes on to show that you’re inclined to come to a conclusion before investigating the whole matter. It has now come down to saying the observers needed to complain in the premises rather than choosing to write a review. This only happens when a fair response or action is not taken from your side sir, which in this case was as simple as listening to both sides first before concluding your thoughts. Perhaps this is a matter for the council to look at. Peace out.

There is something to see in the caves, but not much in the given time. May not be worth it if you want to see the caves leisurely because they have a very restrictive attitude towards the tourists. The guide I went with especially (blonde lady with glasses) was not friendly towards the tourists.
