Inside Parliament House of Victoria are 24-carat gold ceiling ornaments, an imposing Queen Victoria statue, and brass decorations. The building houses the working state parliament, and you can see both chambers (upper and lower houses) of the government in action. During the tour, sit where the speaker and president of the upper house sit, visit the legislative offices, and glimpse the library. To reach the building, climb the grand stone staircase. Parliament house at Melbourne has a beautifully built architecture. Very English. Getting here is quite easy, the central circle tram stops here. A lot of locals after getting married come here for their photo shoots. A must visit if your in Melbourne city.

Went for a free tour which was run very professionally. The lady was very knowledgeable and friendly. Was happy to answer various questions from the group. She spoke loud enough so that everyone could hear. The inside of the Upper and Lower Houses was very spectacular and ornate. Visited Oct 2018.
