An excursion to Lilydale Falls is all about the lush fern-filled scenery and the relaxing ambiance. A favorite picnic and camping spot, the falls are easily accessible by people of all ages and fitness levels. Follow a well-maintained, mainly flat track over a wooden bridge and down a staircase to the base of the first waterfall. The second, shorter but wider falls plunge into a large pool just a couple of minutes' walk away. Keep an eye open for the resident platypus. Bring a camera to capture the water meandering its way through large trees and shrubbery. Make Lilydale Falls a part of your Launceston vacation plans using our Launceston itinerary planner.

Only a short distance between the two levels with some steps which are easy to navigate. The track was muddy and could be improved. Popular spot and picturesque. more »
Brilliant place for a quiet walk to wind down. Good place to explore part of the old northeastern railway that's now disused. Waterfalls and surroundings are very nice.
Short walk and two good waterfalls. Picturesque!!! My two and half year old walked all the way without any problem.
