An excursion to Lilydale Falls is all about the lush fern-filled scenery and the relaxing ambiance. A favorite picnic and camping spot, the falls are easily accessible by people of all ages and fitness levels. Follow a well-maintained, mainly flat track over a wooden bridge and down a staircase to the base of the first waterfall. The second, shorter but wider falls plunge into a large pool just a couple of minutes' walk away. Keep an eye open for the resident platypus.     Only a short distance between the two levels with some steps which are easy to navigate. The track was muddy and could be improved. Popular spot and picturesque.  more »

    Brilliant place for a quiet walk to wind down. Good place to explore part of the old northeastern railway that's now disused. Waterfalls and surroundings are very nice.
