Alexandra Suspension Bridge, Launceston

Bridge · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Experience the rugged beauty of Tasmania by taking a long stroll across Alexandra Suspension Bridge. Spanning over a river gorge, the bridge slightly sways as you move along, which may be unpleasant for travelers with the fear of height. Bring your camera to capture the views. Consider combining this walk with some of the other hikes along the riverside. You can also take a chair lift across the park, and then walk back using the suspension bridge. • It’s a bridge... that said awesome view. That National Park it’s within is absolutely fabulous. Bring your hiking shoes well worth the walk down to Ducks Reach Power plant. There is also a lovely chair lift which crosses the basin that’s worth a ride on!!!
