Rainforest meets the sea. Stunning location. A must as it is truly a unique beach on the FNQ Coast. Stingers during season and patrolled beach. Caravan Park lovely location. more »

There haven't been cassowaries spotted here since 1793. Edit - I stand corrected. Just saw two of the magnificent beasts. A French tourist was standing 8mm away taking pictures.

Was very wet and gloomy day when we visited, too wet to stay at the park there in our camper trailer but we did spot 2 cassowaries and had a lovely morning tea. Beautiful spot... we'll be back.
