  • Well worth the effort. We went after rain and the falls were superb. Hike back up was definitely a work out! We continued down to fish falls for some extra scenery before heading back.  more »
  • Strenuous walk with steep steps. There is a look out at the top but to appreciate the falls you need to see them from the bottom. Hence the 260 steps, after a light drizzle the steps were a little...  more »
  • The walk down to MacKenzie Falls is fairly easy. Be mindful that there are about 200 or so steps up and down so if you have issues with steps then it may be wise to avoid. Otherwise it's a beautiful place to see. Many swim although it is prohibited and can have quite strong rips right at the base of the falls otherwise appears safe. Drains into a stream so can always cool down there.
  • Really, really pretty. Even if you don't stick your feet in the water, the breeze blows water droplets right onto you. It feels amazing. If you decide to immerse your body in the water, be careful of the algae. It's really slick and you could easily fall
