Enjoy a light meal and a glass of fine wine at Hahndorf Hill Winery, a boutique producer located just outside the historic Hahndorf village, the oldest surviving German settlement in Australia. This winery specializes in the production of alternative wines, including Grüner Veltliner, considered "the next big thing" in Australian wine. Located in the lush Adelaide Hills, in 2008 the winery planted some of the very first Grüner Veltliner grapevines in the country. The estate also produces several classic varieties for which this region is already well known, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Shiraz. Stop by the cellar door for the popular ChocoVino experience, which matches the winery’s finest wines to the world’s most acclaimed chocolates.     Had a lovely chocovino experience. Really enjoyed it. I booked it as first day of husbands retirement so wanted some special. Greeting was lovely and warmly welcomed into balcony area. Very relaxing.....  more »

    My wife and I came for the Chocovino experience and really enjoyed it! The staff was very friendly and took the time to explain all the wines and chocolate to us. The experience is really worth it! Most grocery chocolate does not pair well with wine, but they have hand crafted chocolate that really goes with the wine.
