Mount Arapiles is a rock formation that rises about 140 metres (460 ft) above the Wimmera plains in western Victoria, Australia. It is located in Arapiles approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of the town of Natimuk and is part of the Mount Arapiles-Tooan State Park. Arapiles is a very popular destination for rock climbers due to the quantity and quality of climbs. It is one of the premier climbing sites in Australia along with the nearby Grampians. The Wotjobaluk name for the formation is Djurid.

  • Tricky road if towing - nearly bogged in sand. Failed to make it although a 4WD without camper/van would be fine. We didn't make it, we weren't that disappointed. There are plenty of high vista's...  more »
  • Near Natimuk, Mount Arapiles is a great place to stop when passing through Western Victoria. It is on the road from Horsham to Edenhope then Naracoorte (South Australia). A short drive takes you to.....  more »
  • Super crowded, uninspiring scenery and boring fauna. Definitely stay away. Go to Tasmania instead. Or Yosemite. Leave this place to... umm ... ... locals. Yeah, locals - leave it to 'em. And when I'm back it's only because my cousin lives here. Yeah, that's it... 🤣
  • Underrated. This is one good place to go if you are near the Grampians. Less crowded as well.
