The stadium was originally designed to be the home stadium for the North Sydney Bears rugby league football club.
The stadium is rectangular and is unusual in that seating is located on only three sides of the ground. The southern end is open giving filtered views of Brisbane Water through a row of palm trees. With an all seater capacity of 20,059 it was as of 2012 the second smallest stadium in the A-League. It is within walking distance of the Gosford CBD and Gosford railway station. The Central Coast Leagues Club and League Club Field are adjacent to the stadium, across Dane Drive.

Last night we attended the new years eve mariners game. There was a delay in the game of 40minutes to fix the broken goalpost. With an impending storm approaching, a lot of people left early to view the fireworks adjacent. During this time, I and most around me have nothing but absolute praise for the venue staff who gave constant updates and went out of their way to relocate families in covered seats. A picturesque and friendly venue. Friendly and obviously happy staff. Facilities are very clean and services fast and efficient. What would of been a frustrating disaster of a night was not. The crowd appreciated the situation because of the communication. Well done.

Great Stadium To Go Watch The Central Coast. I'm a Newcastle Jets fan hailing Novocastria in all its glory, but Central Coast Stadium is a very nice away day spot, nice and simple, not far away, and free entry for Jets members, decent stadium, just need to raise the capacity and maybe build seats on the empty side, near the seaside. (near the sauce bottles and the open road) Overall, it's a good stadium to watch the Soccer at and maybe if you are lucky, go to the Footy on a special day.
