Gisborne Peak Winery, Gisborne

3.6
#1 of 9 in Wineries in Macedon Ranges
Winery / Vineyard · Food & Drink
Gisborne Peak Winery was founded by Bob and Barbara Nixon. Bob planted the first vines in 1978 as a hobby - it's now a 'hobby gone mad', giving both Bob and Barb, and their visitors, enormous satisfaction, fun and lifestyle.

The cellar door was open in October 2001 and has gone from strength to strength. A recent addition, The Fireside Room, has added plenty of warm, indoor seating with a warming fire. In summer this room opens up to a veranda style with cafe blinds.

The wood-fired oven cooks delicious pizzas and more every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed and casual. Light Lunches Daily.

A great place to meet friends.

  • We did not stay at the cottages but just went for a casual get away. Found the place really lovely away from the city/suburb hustle and bustle. Really welcoming and friendly staff, nice warm cosy sitting, good wine tasting service and delicious wood fire pizzas.
  • It's a nice comfortable set up. Have been here a couple of times. Summer and winter. The pizza offerings and platters go well with the wines. All pay for, of course. Wine tasting only, is available as a stand up near the seating area. Some good wines. Grown on site or from Heathcote vineyards. Makes a good run out on a weekend. Suggest booking for large groups.
