One of Eaglehawk Neck's best kept secrets, Waterfall Bay lies off the east coast of Tasmania surrounded by tall sandstone cliffs, arches, and gulches typical of the rugged Tasman Peninsula. The bay boasts numerous underwater caves that harbor a variety of colorful marine life and a 100 m (328 ft) waterfall that plunges into the churning sea from atop the sheer cliffs. The return walk from Devil's Kitchen parking to the bay is an attraction in its own right. The trail goes in and out of heathland keeping close to the cliff edge with plenty of spectacular lookouts along the way. You are very likely to experience the majesty of the bay in solitude since this area is not visited by large tour groups.     we went during a dry season, so couldn't see the waterfall, but pictures we've seen are stunning. it's a nice gentle walk from the (free) car-park, so suitable for oldies and young ones alike. it's a....  more »

    Around this easy walk there are several viewing platforms with spectacolar views on the sea cliffs. I think the experience is different depending if the sea is calm or not.  more »
