We took the evening cruise with Murray, our Daintree Boatman! He was excellent at pointing out various birds, crocs and telling us facts about the Daintree river, the flora and the wildlife. He's very passionate and well informed, which is obvious by the way he conducts the tour. He even gave us a handy check-list to use when we spot different wildlife, which I thought was excellent, as I found it handy to go back to recollect the names of the various flora and fauna. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a small and intimate tour of the Daintree river, with Murray's tour!

EXCELLENT outing with Murray. We don't know where the other tour boats that left at the same time as us went, we had the river to ourselves. High tide was not going to be the best condition but we saw so many birds, including nesting Large-billed Gerygones and Brown-backed Honeyeaters, several pairs of Shinning Flycatchers contesting their territory boundaries, several pairs of Papuan Frogmouths and 3 new birds for us: Great-billed Heron, Superb Fruit-dove, and Double-eyed Fig-parrots. Also saw crocs and a pair of tree snakes matting. Great maneuverability with the small boat, loved it all.
