Gorge Wildlife Park is a privately-owned sanctuary in the Australian state of South Australia. It is at Cudlee Creek in the Adelaide Hills and continues to be operated by the same family that established it in 1965. It is 30 km northeast of Adelaide. Situated on 14 acres of land, under shaded trees, paths meander among the largest privately owned collection of Australian animals. The park provides contact with a range of Australian native animals as well as exhibits of Australian and exotic animals and birds. A feature is the opportunity for visitors to hold a koala.
Gorge Wildlife Park is involved in protection and preservation of some endangered species such as the Brush-tailed rock-wallaby (Petrogale penicillata).

  • Cool enough place.. not too far on a curvy scenic drive from Adelaide..... Was there at noon and there were no shortages of animals to see and even intersct with / feed / pet. The few moments we had holding the Koala was not rushed, allowing for plenty of photo opportunities. I appreciated that... Park is clean and was better than expected with respect to having to dodge stepping on animal droppings... While we were there the flies seemed to be at a minimum.. very pleasant... Entry fee is more than reasonable, but most animals are so we'll fed that they will not eat any of the bagged feed we purchased for $2.50. I enjoyed my time there.
  • A great experience for the kids. Much more engaging than the Adelaide zoo. You can feed & pat some animals like the kangaroos which my daughter loved. Much more relaxing and enjoyable for parents being away from the city and lots of nice spots to visit nearby for a whole day out experience.
