Had a great day at the zoo with the kids. Ability to see the animals up close was there best ive seen at any zoo. We did find the map (and walking trail) slightly confusing but got the hang of it. more »

A great family day out. The zoo is very well maintained and clean. Easy to navigate but a long walk especially with young kids. Plenty of places to stop along the way for a sit down- most have picnic tables and are shaded. A range of different animals to see with keeper talks throughout the day. There is an excellent play space next to the rhino cafe with swings, slides, bridges and tunnels for the kids to run wild. Tickets were affordable- worth noting children under 3 enter for just $1. Adequate parking with a main car park and overflow.

Great zoo in Canberra. We go every time we stay here. Well set out, takes around 3 hours or so to walk the whole place. There is a cafe near the entrance and also a good cafe a little over half way around with a great adventure playground for the kids. Very enjoyable day out, highly recommend.
