Bundaberg Rum Distillery, Bundaberg

Must see · Distillery · Brewery
A low-slung complex on the banks of the Burnett River, Bundaberg Rum Distillery serves as the home and main administrative center for Queensland’s best-known rum. Bundaberg Rum was first produced in 1888--the company appointed its first tour guide in 1986--and has grown to become one of Australia’s most famous spirits. At the distillery, you can sample some of the company’s products, as well as gain insight into the distillation process through video presentations, tours, and historical displays. • Wonderful, entertaining and informative tour from Darcy and Mac. Thank you so much for a fun morning. Highly recommended if you are in Bundy. And yes, you do get to taste the rum!!  more »
  • I'm a little bit vexed about this review, I'm not a big fan of rum so that makes it a bit tough, but I'm going to write this is a review of the tour itself and the museum. First thing when they say...  more »

  • Good distillery with a bar on site serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. In particular liquors which according to staff are not sold elsewhere. Tours last an hour and are pretty frequent throughout the day, can ring in advance to ensure a space or turn up on the day. Good for large or small groups. Bar staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable!
  • The tour of the distillery was very interesting and educational. The rum tasting was wonderful. I was amazed at the range of rum products and how delicious they are. I really enjoyed the museum too. A truly worthwhile experience
