At Ballarat Wildlife Park, roam 15 hectares (37 acres) of natural bushland and hand-feed free-roaming kangaroos. Pet koalas and wombats and touch snakes, lizards, and a giant tortoise. Over 400 animal species call the park home, many of which you can learn about through guided tours and keeper-led shows. The entry fee includes a quick guided tour and the afternoon's interactive animal shows. You can enjoy additional animal experiences, such as having your photo taken with a koala, for an extra fee. If you visit in cooler weather, warm up by the cafe's fire. To visit Ballarat Wildlife Park on your trip to Ballarat, use our Ballarat trip builder site.

Pretty good place for close up visits with wallabys, kangaroos and koalas. A lot of good photo opportunities. Be aware that if you want a direct meet and greet with a koala you have to book ahead, because they occur at certain times and numbers are limited. The cafe on site was okay but it was very busy and wait times for food was long so consider whether you want to bring your own food. All of the staff we met were very friendly and helpful though and put a lot of effort into good service.

Visited Ballarat Wildlife Park yesterday. It was a great experience and I loved seeing all the animals. We went on the guided tour at 11am to learn all about the different native Australian animals. I especially enjoyed petting and feeding the free-roaming kangaroos, seeing the meerkat presentation and viewing the reptiles. Thank you! I definitely recommend everyone visit this wildlife park if you happen to be in or passing by Ballarat!
