Arikok National Park, Santa Cruz

Must see · National Park · Nature / Park
You can't help but notice waves crashing dramatically into ocean cliffs as you navigate around Arikok National Park. Try touring the park with an all-terrain vehicle or via a Jeep tour to be able to reach some of the more remote places, such as the park caves. The caves feature stalagmites, stalactites, and ancient cave paintings. Take the opportunity to hike in the park while observing the native lizards and wild goats. Bring plenty of water, as the heat is intense. You'll find a restaurant along the way, as well as a beach, but be careful as the waters can get quite rough. • This place has incredible views it's very cheap. don't bother going in unless you have a four-wheel drive vehicle. Rent a Jeep or one of the little UTV's. Get there really early pack a lunch. Make sure you check out the caves and the beaches. Make sure your camera or your phone is fully charged so you can take lots of photos. I recommend bringing a bandana because it's very desert-like and dry. Be careful while you're driving because there can be some very sheer drops
  • My husband and I just scratched the surface of the national park. The views were breath taking. You can get close enough to feel the water spray your face and see tons of fossils. Would love to go back and see more.
